Luxury Lotion
Before
beginning, it is important to make sure that your work area
and utensils have been properly cleaned and sanitized. Bleach
water can be used to wipe down your work surfaces, and utensils
and bottles may be scalded in boiling water. Another option
is to use a sanitizer appropriate for food contact surfaces,
such as Steramine. It can be purchased at restaurant supply
stores, or food service outlets.
Water Phase
Heat
water to between 140 and 158 degrees F. Add Phenonip to the
heated water, and blend thoroughly with stick blender. Next
add Honeyquat, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, TSD Antioxidant Compound,
AquaEm, and Hydrolyzed Silk Protein to the water, and
mix.
Oil Phase
Combine
Olive Squalane and Behentrimonium Methosulfate, heating until
completely melted together. Add TSD Conditioning Ester,
and mix.
Add
the oil phase to the water phase with blending. Allow to cool
a bit, and then blend in the following:
Cool Down
Phase
Once the fragrance
is thoroughly incorporated, pour the lotion into bottles.
It will be liquid at this point, but will thicken as it cools.
