BRRRR!!!!!
Is it ever cold here in Indiana! The snow has been flying,
and the temperatures have been hitting the big goose egg.
My weather man is predicting up to 10 inches of snow by
tomorrow afternoon! I can't seem to keep enough seed in
the feeders to keep my beloved birds happy, and my barn
cat has been using every sneaky trick he knows to try to
get into the house. Before anyone accuses me of being mean
to the cat, let it be known that my husband provided him
with a box out in the barn, complete with heat lamp and
one of his old work coats for bedding. Let's keep our fingers
crossed, and hope that Ground Hog Phil doesn't feel the
need to crawl back in his hole on February 2nd.

This is a wonderfully light, fresh scent blending
ripened avocado with the perfect touch of invigorating
mint. If you're looking for a scent to help "green"
up your product line, this crisp clean scent is an
absolute essential.

Silky
Smooth Lip Conditioner
A couple of weeks ago, my oldest son was complaining
that his lips were chapped, and we were almost out
of lip balm. I told him to start drinking more water,
and that I would make a new batch of lip balm. I
decided that it was time to reformulate my lip balm,
as I've been using the same recipe for years, and
I've learned considerably more about formulating
since then. The new formula is a vast improvement
over the old one, and was awarded my son's approval.
I imagine that his girlfriend appreciates his newly
silky smooth lips. This formula contains just enough
beeswax to provide a protective barrier, but the
fractionated coconut oil gives it a nice glide.
Castor oil, with it's unique fatty acid profile
and esters, helps pull moisture into the lips, while
cocoa butter, jojoba oil, and avocado oil provide
deep conditioning.
Melt
ingredients together in a Pyrex measuring cup in
the microwave. Add flavoring to taste, if desired.
Pour into lip
balm tubes or lip
balm pots.
